Job Title: Data Specialist (Annotation)
Contract: 12 Months
Location: Cupertino CA 
Hybrid:  Hybrid Schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday / Thursday onsite) 


Must Haves:
  • Excellent English-language oral and written communications skills
  • Previous data annotation experience (data labeling, data tagging, data classification, or machine learning training data generation)
  • Experience working with macOS, iOS, and iPadOS (Numbers, Keynote and Pages)
  • Experience working with Mac and macOS 10.14 or higher for work 
  • Self-motivating with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Good critical thinking, with an eye for detail and for continuous optimization (quality, cost efficiency)
Preferred: 
  • Minimum 2 years in a professional environment with much of that time in a data annotation/quality assurance role.
Job Description: 
We are looking for a Data Annotator to join the Data Annotation team. The Data Annotation team is responsible for working closely with R&D to scope projects, create the templates and guidelines, kick off the project, and ensure the quality of the annotations meets or exceeds expectations. In this role you will need to work closely with the Data Annotation Project Managers to help them with prototyping, annotating small projects, writing guidelines, and other annotation management tasks.

Responsibilities: 
  • Comprehending the overall purpose of an annotation task based on requirements
  • Prototyping and support of small annotation projects
  • Conduct Time Per Task (TPT) metric gathering to assist in estimating cost of projects
  • Creating thorough guidelines/instructions on annotation workflows
  • Annotating, categorizing, and checking quality of annotated data.
  • Providing feedback and identifying improvements concerning processes and tools. Recommending changes to improve efficiency
  • Assist in archiving and documenting finished projects
