Job Description
The Technical Accounting Director is a key member of our Corporate Finance team. This position is recognized as an expert in technical accounting matters.
Responsibilities:
• Research application of accounting standards, determine potential effects to our company of new accounting standards and effectively communicate the impact to stakeholders throughout the company, including the audit committee
• Provide accounting guidance to teams around the world
• Manage technical accounting assessments, including purchase price allocation, debt refinancings, derivative accounting, segment reporting and goodwill analysis • Document technical accounting matters
• Participate in the quarterly reporting process
• Review all SEC financial filings
• Update policies and procedures as necessary
• Extensive interaction with internal and external auditors
• Drive continuous process improvement
Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance + CPA in active status required.
• 10+ years of financial experience including a combination of multi-national public company experience (500M+ revenue preferred) and 6+ years at a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm. Experience in the high tech manufacturing sector is also preferable.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data drawn from multiple sources to find problems and make effective recommendations
• Demonstrated exceptional Excel skills and experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a bonus.
