Tax Filing Delivery Manager
Contract, 6 months potential for extension
Remote

Hourly rate: $40.00-45.00/hr

Must Haves:
5+ years experience in Payroll Tax Filing experience
2+ years client interaction and management
3+ years management experience
3+ years Master Tax software experience

As a Tax Filing Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily administration of tax filing services for assigned legal entities, ensuring compliance with tax jurisdiction guidelines. Your role involves managing client delivery through both direct and indirect channels within the Tax Filing Shared Services team. Proactively managing client accounts to preempt escalations and fostering colleague development in tax filing knowledge and client-facing service are key aspects of this role.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensuring overall client delivery and satisfaction in tax filing services.
Serving as the primary point of contact for resolving client escalations promptly and accurately.
Monitoring and auditing various tasks to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, and actively supporting the implementation of enhancements.
Developing, reviewing, and communicating Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to drive downstream improvement efforts.
Leading process improvement initiatives within tax filing processes and collaborating with other Alight domains to ensure client deliverables and enhance processes affecting Alight delivery.
Responding to client communications and escalating when necessary, and effectively communicating complex issues to clients as needed.
Ensuring timely and accurate responses to clients and other Alight teams.
Representing Tax Filing Shared Services (TFSS) and facilitating client meetings by providing updates and education on tax filing processes.
Providing timely research on compliance and regulatory issues and facilitating higher-level escalations when necessary.
Compiling, reporting, and analyzing metrics to drive improvements and address process gaps.
Resolving open items to align with Tax Filing perspectives.
Educating and coaching associates and clients on tax filing matters, providing subject matter expertise.
Liaising with Client and Payroll Client teams regarding tax filing-related items.
Mentoring and coaching colleagues, managing performance and accountability.
Coordinating and providing training for new colleagues or processes.
Actively supporting the development, training, and communication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the team.
Overseeing delivery operations, including Tax Filing suppliers, to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
Approving checklists and managing the checklist queue.
Coordinating testing for updated interfaces as required.
Serving as a control point for variance analysis when issues require escalation or analysis.
Reviewing Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) setups to ensure all deposits are properly configured for EFT payment, where applicable.
Monitoring and communicating "Applied for" statuses for any agency registration issues.
Communicating penalty and interest reports to clients.
Supporting testing and implementation of new clients as needed.
Utilizing problem-solving skills and tax knowledge to address issues effectively.
