Job Description

A food manufacturer in Peabody, MA seeks a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

Vaccination Requirements: none

Must Haves:

5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or related environment
Financial reporting and analysis experience

Preferred:

ERP implementation experience
Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience

Job Summary/Description:

Handle journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate general ledger and financial statements.
Post GL transactions on a daily and monthly bases.
Oversee and maintain accuracy of balance sheet, P& L accounts.
Assists with the monthly and yearly closing processes.
Work with and provide accounting updates to management, outside CPA firm, and advisory board.
Handle financial reporting and ensure reporting is in accordance with US GAAP.
Assist with ERP implementation as well as post implementation training and optimization process.
Maintain financial confidentiality and ensure all accounting practices are in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations.
Other accounting responsibilities and tasks as necessary.
