Job Description


Reporting to the AVP, Administration within the Division of Philanthropy; This role is charged with executing the Philanthropy talent strategy which includes identifying and acquiring exceptional and diverse (background, experiences, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and more) talent, enhancing and removing bias from recruiting processes, engaging and retaining staff, and other personnel-related initiatives. Partnering with hiring managers across the Division, HR Partners, and candidates, this position will drive the search process for senior-level positions in alignment with the priorities of the Division of Philanthropy at our institute.

We are undertaking an ambitious fundraising effort to change the future of cancer research and care. This multibillion-dollar campaign is the largest in the Institute’s history and one of the largest ever in the U.S. focused solely on cancer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage talent acquisition tasks for the Division of Philanthropy, assuming the responsibility of pipeline building, applicant screening, and conducting/scheduling interviews for senior and executive level (8+ years of experience) positions.
• Create an engaging and equitable candidate experience through consistent, timely and thoughtful communication.
• Serve as liaison to corporate Talent Acquisition for senior-level hires, including coordinating reference check processes and administering/evaluating assessments.
• Develop diverse (background, experiences, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and more) talent pipelines through strategic sourcing efforts including but not limited to: LinkedIn, networking, and program/community partnerships.
• May serve as a representative of Philanthropy’s at industry conferences and events to advertise the Division of Philanthropy team and opportunities.
• Participate in virtual bi-monthly Philanthropy Information Sessions to engage a vast network of individuals and candidates interested in learning more about the field of Philanthropy and the Division-at-large.
• Execute and/or oversee select new staff initiatives from pre-hire to 90-days: Philanthropy Orientation, New Hire Check-Ins, and 90-Day Review touchpoints.
• Communicate to hiring managers on necessary resources, learning opportunities and onboarding processes through the first 90 days and end of employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, and exit).
• Partner with external search firms and internal teams as needed: Human Resources, Payroll, General Services, Telecommunications, Accounts Payable, and other support departments within the Institute on behalf of Philanthropy.
• Uphold the highest level of confidentiality across all responsibilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 5-8 years recruiting experience, including senior and leadership level roles.
• Healthcare, academic, or other non-profit experience a plus.
• Experience working with an applicant tracking system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ENCOURAGED:
• Ability to handle situations and documentation in a highly confidential manner.
• Excellent written and effective verbal communications skills in-person and via technology platforms (e.g.; Zoom or Teams).
• Superior organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Public speaking experience and comfort a must.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Experience developing and executing recruitment strategies.
• Knowledge of recruitment trends and of state and federal employment/labor laws and practices.
• High computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Applicant Tracking Systems).
