Project Manager
3 month contract
Hybrid - Cambridge, MA
Pay Range: $31.57-$33.57/hr

Must Haves:
  • A minimum of three or more years of related experience in postsecondary administration or student affairs. Postsecondary coursework and part-time work can count towards this requirement.
  • Demonstrative knowledge of EDIB principles and best practices with a high degree of cultural competency.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training programs and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to analyze data to assess the effectiveness of EDIB initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, especially project management software (e.g., SharePoint, Canva, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and/or equivalent) a must.
Job Summary/Description:

Under the guidance of the Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Strategy, take a leadership role in researching and implementing innovative new strategies to foster a sense of belonging amongst staff members.
  • Support the Director of EDIB Strategy in embedding EDIB principles into the broader organizational culture and processes via the Root 2.0 Culture Series.
  • Support the SPM, of Administration and Culture with formulating and implementing the emerging internal talent management system (documenting and training staff on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management and professional development) that promotes EDIB in the workplace.
  • Supporting new projects and initiatives and other duties as assigned by the Director of EDIB Strategy.
EDIB Training(s):
  • Identify needs and select appropriate content and speakers for EDIB principles and practices training sessions.
  • Lead facilitation during EDIB activities and coordinate experiential workshops and learning activities.
Strategic Evaluation:
  • Partner with the Director of EDIB Strategy and the EDIB team to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data on the impact of EDIB efforts within the Center.
  • Implement and improve tracking systems for staff participation and engagement with EDIB programming.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of EDIB initiatives. This might include analyzing employee surveys, tracking participation in EDIB initiatives, and reporting on progress to senior management and/or board members.
  • Produce periodic reports outlining the progress, barriers, and proposed improvements in implementing EDIB goals and strategies for internal planning.
