Job Title: Workday Payroll Analyst
Contract – to – hire
Onsite – Los Angelos, CA
Pay Rate: $30-$35 hourly
Must Haves:
  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, or another related field highly preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll required.
  3. Previous experience with Workday required.
  4. Previous experience working with CA labor and wage laws.
  5. Prior experience using accounting software.
Pluses:
  1. Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
Job Description: The Workday Payroll Analyst position is responsible for handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. You will have a strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws, federal and state payroll regulations and requirements. You will have an understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen. You must have a strong ability to maintain accurate data entry. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Strong working knowledge with Advanced Excel Skills, and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Database Management. Strong organizational, analytical skills and ability to interpret data and present to facilitate business decisions.
Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with payroll processing, maintaining employee confidence, and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  2. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages, and determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments.
  3. Maintain payroll operations by tracking record changes, reviewing and verifying source documents, and managing payroll discrepancies.
  4. Provide assistance for internal and external audits related to payroll, and answer questions and requests related to payroll information.
  5. Maintain a system of controls over payroll to ensure accurate and timely payments, and work closely with HR and Payroll teams to review issues and concerns.
  6. Review, update, or make recommendations to change existing payroll documentation, and maintain and enforce current payroll policies and procedures.
