Job Description


Seeking a paralegal with a minimum of 2+ years of experience to join a Legal team and provide comprehensive support to the team of attorneys. This role will focus on corporate, contract, and transactional matters, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and monitoring time-sensitive filings and issues.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and business clients on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining corporate records and essential legal documents, ensuring proper indexing and filing.
  • Coordinate annual and special meetings, including acting as secretary to accurately prepare and retain meeting minutes for Global Atlantic.
  • Update and maintain various corporate governance resources for Global Atlantic entities.
  • Correspond directly with business clients and legal reviewers to resolve workflow inconsistencies and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in due diligence processes related to Reinsurance and PRT transaction closings.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-3 years of corporate paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
  • Familiarity with legal and contract terminology and methods.
  • Strong review and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of client service.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to set goals, multitask, and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and accountability in handling tasks.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute to departmental projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), as well as online legal research tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Paralegal certification is advantageous.
