Internal Audit Consultant Full time, 5 month contract
Remote
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of IA
Investment management governance/controls testing
Preferred:
CIA/CPA
1) Must know IM (Investment Management) governance and best practices to challenge their operating model/governance structure, including reporting
2) Strong IM operational controls testing(TOD and TOE) – so must know what a good RCM looks like, be able to test controls and challenge the control make up/bring best practices
Exp looking into governance structure of investment and trust accounts
Internal audit with background in investment banking
Client is seeking assistance to evaluate:
The governance arrangements of the IA and TA, specifically whether the existing governance structure is appropriate, whether potential conflicts of interests are managed, whether appropriate reporting is in place up to the IM committee/Board and related operational aspects.
Within that scope, they are interested in assessing the design of controls and potentially operational effectiveness of higher risk controls. They are approximately 10-12 controls (e.g., oversight of external managers and custodians, operational due diligence when hiring managers and custodian, cash management, access management/SODs, fraud controls, etc.).
