Job Description


The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders regarding financial analysis and decision support . This role will involve financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting.  This hire will ensure timely and accurate reporting for various projects.

Responsibilities and Functions:
 
  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborate in creating presentations for executive leadership.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support clinical trials and R&D decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities, including preparing expense accruals for R&D. Work closely with Accounting and Operational FP&A teams during the close process.
  • Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and timely financial analyses on actuals, KPIs, and comparisons to forecasts. Manage the annual budget, including monthly trend reporting, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Provide relevant financial analysis and commentary on R&D department spending and project budgets, comparing actuals to historical trends, budget, and forecasts.
  • Compile and analyze data from various departments to identify trends and assess performance.
  • Develop and maintain rolling monthly and quarterly forecasts for projects and P&Ls, using ERP system-generated reports to support monthly reviews, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget process.
  • Prepare presentation materials focusing on financial projections and their impact on financial statements and other key metrics.
  • Offer actionable insights on performance relative to business unit KPIs.
  • Support the Finance & Accounting teams in implementing or improving financial systems and processes critical to organizational functions.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across different levels of personnel.

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or accounting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Technical expertise in finance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and reporting.
