Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders regarding financial analysis and decision support . This role will involve financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting. This hire will ensure timely and accurate reporting for various projects.
Responsibilities and Functions:
Demonstrate a hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
Collaborate in creating presentations for executive leadership.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support clinical trials and R&D decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities, including preparing expense accruals for R&D. Work closely with Accounting and Operational FP&A teams during the close process.
Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and timely financial analyses on actuals, KPIs, and comparisons to forecasts. Manage the annual budget, including monthly trend reporting, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
Provide relevant financial analysis and commentary on R&D department spending and project budgets, comparing actuals to historical trends, budget, and forecasts.
Compile and analyze data from various departments to identify trends and assess performance.
Develop and maintain rolling monthly and quarterly forecasts for projects and P&Ls, using ERP system-generated reports to support monthly reviews, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget process.
Prepare presentation materials focusing on financial projections and their impact on financial statements and other key metrics.
Offer actionable insights on performance relative to business unit KPIs.
Support the Finance & Accounting teams in implementing or improving financial systems and processes critical to organizational functions.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Cultivate strong relationships across different levels of personnel.
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Finance.
3+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or accounting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Technical expertise in finance, budgeting, and forecasting.
Knowledge of financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and reporting.
