Hybrid, New York New York Vaccination Requirements: none Must Haves:
CPA
Master’s Degree or Public Accounting experience
5+ years management of General Ledger Accounting out of a nonprofit, philanthropic organization or higher education
Proven track record of leading a team
Experience managing audit, Federal and foreign tax forms
Budget and analysis experience including commentary for the senior leadership and board
Preferred:
Experience with restricted funds
ADP, Intacct, Salesforce, bill.com system experience
Job Summary/Description: A nonprofit leader is looking for a Controller to join the team. Someone who has a strong foundation in nonprofit accounting will excel! This role’s primary activities include the monthly close process, preparation of financial statements and maintenance of the general ledger and reporting systems. The Internal Audit and investment related responsibilities include preparation of Federal and foreign tax documentation and planning and execution of internal audits. In addition, this role will assist in various projects, shared processes and other initiatives as needed.
