Controller
Full-Time
Hybrid, 3 days on site 
Plymouth, MA

Must Haves:
  • 2-5 years in a Controller role, 2+ years managing staff
  • BA Degree
  • Advanced in Excel
  • Experience driving month end close
Preferred:
  • CPA
  • IFS ERP

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Controller with a Manufacturing background  to lead and enhance our financial operations. This role is integral to our management team and involves overseeing accounting processes, budgeting, cash flow, and capital investments. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in manufacturing finance and a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges.

 
  • Minimum 2-5 years in a Controller or similar financial management role, specifically within MFG.
  • BS Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred or intent to pursue.
  • Demonstrated experience leading finance teams and optimizing financial processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Analyze performance, prepare forecasts, manage budgets, and report financial outcomes to management.
  • Establish and maintain product costs, asset schedules, cash flow, and expense budgets specific to manufacturing operations.
  • Advise management on policy, organizational structure, and financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure asset security through internal auditing and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Manage software and hardware applications to support accounting functions; provide training on systems including IFS and Windows.
  • Maintain adherence to quality and food safety standards, ensuring all products meet applicable customer and industry standards.
