Job Description
Buyer
Contract 2-3 months with potential for extension
Hourly rate: $22-24/hr
Must have:
Bachelors degree
At least 1 year in Buyer/Purchasing (ideally from MFG company)
Excel - Lookups, Pivot Tables
ERP system with purchasing/buying module used
Nice to have:
Visual ERP
Manufacturing Industry experience
Responsibilities:
-Purchase materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), and services.
-Coordinate procurement activities.
-Review planned orders.
-Prepare and submit RFQs (Request for Quotations).
-Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules. -Create and issue purchase orders.
-Handle return transactions.
-Expedite late orders.
-Ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
-Research and identify new suppliers.
-Prepare technical specifications and design packages for suppliers.
-Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
