The Billing team is looking for a detailed-oriented, results-driven Contract Closeouts Biller to make a significant impact on our financial closeouts. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting our closeout activities to ensure contractual compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with Billing Lead to focus Contract Closeout completion by established deadlines (Cost Types, Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price, and Performance Based Payments)
- Timely produce and deliver customer closeout invoices for assigned contracts
- Work under tight time constraints due to contractual deadlines
- Collaboratively work in a team-oriented environment
- Work effectively with other departments (including Business Analysts, Contracts, General Ledger, Accounts Payables Program Finance and Programs).
- Effectively communicate to your management regarding issues and updates
- Ad Hoc duties and projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required
- 1 to 5 years experience with Contract Closeout procedures
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Ability to organize and track a broad range of activities with varying levels of complexity, priority, and timelines, with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work independently, be flexible, and work as part of an onsite and remote team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills, including handling multiple projects simultaneously and on tight timeframes, while also managing shifting priorities
- Strong and forward-thinking problem-solving skills--able to analyze issues, extrapolate implications, develop, and recommend alternative approaches and solutions, etc.
- Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing and escalating issues
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ability to learn new processes and software
- Knowledge of electronic billing procedures
- ERP experience preferred (PeopleSoft, IPP, WAWF, Data Warehouse)
