Job Description
Staff Accountant Contract: 3 months Job Location: Onsite - Costa Mesa, CA COVID: Must be fully vaccinated including booster shot Hourly: $25 - 39 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of GL accounting experience (AP/AR do not count)
Working knowledge of general ledger systems and ERP systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Work and Excel
Preferred:
Hospital and/or healthcare experience
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant performs general accounting functions for the department and supports other members of the Accounting Team.
Key responsibilities:
Completes account analyses and reconciliations on monthly basis, researches and identifies anomalies and provides report to management.
Reviews designated accounts for reasonableness and accuracy, evaluate and make necessary adjustments prior to the period end.
Completes Journal Entries in accurate and timely manner, ensuring appropriate accounts are recorded to, entries balance, and adequate supporting documentation.
Prepares monthly and quarterly Sales Tax reporting
Performs special analyses and research as requested for departments and/or vendor questions, annual audits, cost reports and tax reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains up to date unit specific data, and logs.
