Job Description
The Senior Accountant partners with team members to help accumulate financial information for external reporting and management reporting decisions. You will be involved with the financial close, assist in the preparation of quarterly SEC Filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) and have the opportunity to recommend continuous improvement ideas.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including footnotes, MD&A and XBRL requirements
Assist with preparing full set of financial statements and schedules for earnings call
Research technical accounting issues, including accounting standards and document conclusions
Support external and internal auditors for schedule requests and internal control testing
Assist with the annual goodwill impairment analysis
Other management projects and ad hoc reporting, as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience (some public accounting experience strongly preferred)
Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data from multiple sources to find problems and make recommendations
Excellent organization and analytical skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and with all levels of management
Public Accounting background or CPA required
Preferred Skills:
Experience/Knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise/HFM, Oracle/SAP and advanced Excel skills
Prior experience working in an external financial reporting role
